Roadmap

ShareRing’s current roadmap shows a number of developments in the Foundational, Blockchain Services, Digital Lifestyle Services (B2C), and Enterprise Services (B2B) arms. What distinguishes them from one another?

The Foundational arm is the underlying technology that supports ShareRing – think NFC Technology, Face Match, swapping enhancements, Skinny ID, and ShareRing Vault. Users must complete these steps in order to set up their ShareRing ID, which is the first step of the ShareRing app user experience.

The newest Vault enhancements allow users to set up new categories, filter documents, delete expired documents, print documents from within the Vault, and color-code documents within their ShareRing Vault.

Coming up in Q4 of 2022 and Q1 of 2023 are the revamp of the entire ShareRing mobile app (a new look is coming!) and SDKs, which are software development kits that are made for a specific platform.

Blockchain Services allow for growth on ShareRing’s native blockchain, ShareLedger. ShareRing’s recent integration with CosmWasm allows developers to build smart contracts on ShareLedger, which is now integrated into the Cosmos ecosystem and can interact with cross-chains with its IBC (Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol) capabilities.

Expect to learn more about Testnet in Q4 of 2022, which allows developers to test their smart contracts on our blockchain, which includes but is not limited to IQL and SBTs, but also development capabilities for ShareRing’s first hackathon coming up in 2023.

The Digital Lifestyle Services covers features that benefit the lives of ShareRing app users. In Q2 and Q3 of 2022, Simple NFT Events was launched with the goal to provide blockchain ticketing to anyone and everyone organizing events. Our next step is to move NFT creation and distribution onto ShareLedger using CosmWasm smart contracts and NFT smart contracts. The benefits of doing so include low fees, faster interactions, and the ability to link or unlink SBTs.

ShareRing’s Enterprise Services (our B2B arm) looks to branch out into a standalone financial services app that provides the usage of an enhanced eKYC process, and a standalone event services app, both of which would leverage the use of verifiable credentials. Once you’ve created your ShareRing ID, you don’t have to create a new account in the standalone apps, which removes friction from your access to goods and services in these apps.

Coming up in the first half of 2023 is ShareRing’s first ever hackathon. This hackathon will be focused on the development of smart contracts on ShareLedger that will leverage verifiable credentials.
